Pixie Grid is made by Karas Games (“we”, “us”). Questions about this policy: karasleon@web.de.
Pixie Grid is free and supported by ads: a banner, occasional full-screen (interstitial) ads, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch for in-game help. Ads are served by Google AdMob. To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
With your consent, Google may use this data for personalized advertising and to track you across other apps and websites. If you do not consent, you still see ads, but non-personalized (contextual) ones. How Google uses this data is described here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings, and manage Google’s data practices via the Google Privacy Policy.
After you’ve started playing (not at the moment of launch), we show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; if you choose “Ask App Not to Track,” the IDFA is not used to track you. In the EU/EEA and UK we also show a Google-certified consent message (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) so you can accept or refuse personalized ads under GDPR. You can reopen these choices any time from the in-app Settings. You can always decline — the game stays fully playable.
Pixie Grid offers optional in-app purchases. A one-time “Remove Ads” purchase removes the banner and interstitial ads (optional rewarded help videos remain available if you choose them). Cosmetic packs (non-consumable) are also available.
We also offer consumable Credit packs (Small, Medium, Large, Mega). Credits can be spent only on comfort items — extra hints and a reveal-line helper — and on cosmetic background skins. Credits are not required to finish the game: every level is 100% solvable at zero spend, there is no pay-to-win, and there are no loot boxes or randomized purchases. Credits have no real-world or cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or cashed out. Because Credits are a consumable balance stored only on your device, they are not restorable if you delete the app, switch devices, or reset your data — this is disclosed in-app at the point of purchase.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. We never see your payment details. Use the in-app Restore Purchases control to ask Apple — not us — to re-confirm your non-consumable entitlements (such as Remove Ads and cosmetic packs); consumable Credits are not restorable.
Your game progress — solved puzzles, campaign and mastery stars, your collection and unlocked skins, settings, login streak and quest progress, and your Credit balance — is saved locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage. This game state is not sent to us and is not synced to iCloud; you can erase it by deleting the app (which also clears any unspent Credits, as noted above). This is separate from the ad data described above, which is handled by Google AdMob.
Pixie Grid is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app serves third-party ads via AdMob, it is not intended for child-directed use; please do not let young children use it without supervision. This is consistent with COPPA and equivalent children’s-privacy rules for a general-audience app.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising. Because the ad data is collected and controlled by Google, the most direct controls are Google Ads Settings, the EU/UK consent screen, and the ATT prompt; you can also use the Google Privacy Policy controls. For California residents, we do not sell your personal information for money; sharing of identifiers with Google for cross-context behavioral advertising occurs only with your consent, and you can withhold it. Questions: karasleon@web.de.
Google is a global provider and may process ad-related data in countries including the United States. Such transfers are governed by Google’s safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) under the Google Privacy Policy.
We retain no personal data on our own servers (we have none). Ad-related data is retained by Google per its own policies. Local game state remains on your device until you delete it or the app.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this policy, change the “Last updated” date, and update the app’s App Store privacy labels before that version ships.
